If you’ve been on YouTube, Facebook, or TikTok recently, you might have seen a “XAI220A” comment.
XAI220A is a cryptocurrency that claims that Elon Musk and xAI developed it.
However, Elon Musk has never announced any cryptocurrency project before.
In addition, xAI is an artificial intelligence (AI) company and not a cryptocurrency company.
Hence, the XAI220A token is a scam and it’s not legitimate—do not fall for it!
The scammers behind the token strategically used bots to flood the comments section of popular YouTube videos.
For example, bots were commenting “XAI220A” under YouTube videos with Michael Saylor.
Here’s an example of a comment, “Picked up my XAI220A at $0.3 already running to $1. Life saver!”.
The replies under the comment are also posted by bots, “Big and bullish as hell”.
YouTube has a problem—the inability to detect and block botted comments automatically.
Hence, a lot of people get scammed by looking up coins or tokens recommended in the comments.
If you visit the token’s website, you’re greeted with a fake token presale countdown.
The website requires you to buy the token with another cryptocurrency.
However, if you connect your wallet or provide your information, they’ll steal your cryptocurrency or wallet.
xAI is not associated with the official xAI company by Elon Musk as he has never launched a crypto project before.
As previously mentioned, the scammer’s strategy is to bot YouTube comments under popular cryptocurrency videos.
These bots will mention the token’s name with a bullish description like, “Been collecting the XAI220A this cycle as that has the right place in this time”.
Then, other bots will reply to the original comment, backing it up by saying things like “It’s the one to go for”.
This is to trick people into believing that the token is credible, but it’s fake and a scam in disguise.
