Here’s a quick guide on how to win a combat encounter against Ida and her crew:
- At the beginning of a game, don’t loot places outside castle walls and in the basement.
- Use Fig and Sanctifier (by throwing Petard in a castle well) on Matej to reach 14 tools, so he can cast Bless twice.
- After you talk with the Burgmaster, equip Pavol with the best stuff. Matej needs only a sword and a leather cap.
- Don’t forget to visit a tavern and talk with a barman. He will give you 4 bottles of wine.
- Go to a thieves’ hideout in a forest, go down, and save your game here. Apply sour cream (you should have at least 2 from looting previous locations) on both characters. Pray for good rng and initiate battle.
- Focus on Ida herself or one of her minor goons. Use half swording and cleave. Don’t use shield bash (you need to inflict as much damage as possible). On the second turn, use Bless and keep Pavol alive with consumables. Don’t forget to use defense when possible.
By following these instructions, with a little bit of luck, you will prevail!
As a reward, you will get 100 crowns and some random loot – mostly stat-boosting consumables and/or pieces of armor.
