You might have seen many of your Instagram friends putting on a music disc on their Story, have you ever wondered how it’s done?
The latest version of the Instagram app for Android and iPhone has a feature that lets you add a music disc right on the Story.
Music Disc on Instagram Story looks good and allows you to share your favorite music with your followers. If you want to use Music Disc on your Instagram story, here’s what you need to do.
How to Add Music Disc on Instagram Story (Android)
The feature is already available on the latest version of the Instagram app. You just need to open the Google Play Store and update the Instagram app. Once updated, follow these simple steps.
1. Launch the Instagram app on your Android phone.
2. When the app opens, tap the (+) button at the bottom of the screen.
3. Move to the Story creation page and swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
4. On the Add to Story section, tap the Music CD icon.
5. Select the Music which you want to add to your story.
6. On the Story creation screen, make any further edits you want. Once you’re done editing, tap the Next button at the bottom right corner.
7. On the Share menu, select Your Story and tap Next.
How to Add Music Disc on Instagram Story (iPhone)
Make sure to update the Instagram app to the latest version before you proceed with the steps. Here’s how to add a music disc to an Instagram story on an iPhone.
1. Launch the Instagram app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the profile picture at the bottom right corner.
3. At the top right corner, tap the (+) icon and select Story.
4. On the Story creation screen, tap on Music.
5. Select the music that you want to share with your Story.
6. The music CD will be added to the Instagram Story. To share it, simply tap the Next button.
How to Add Music Disc on Instagram Story (Desktop)
As of now, there is no option to add a music disc to the Instagram Story web version. You will have to use the Instagram app for Android or iPhone to do this.
Also, you can’t share a story from the Instagram desktop or web version, as this feature is not supported.
