TikTok has an auto scroll feature where you can watch videos hands-free.
When the feature is enabled, TikTok will automatically scroll to the next video when the current video ends.
This prevents the need for you to scroll—if you’re doing something else or your phone is away.
However, many users reported that the feature is not showing up for them.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to fix Auto Scroll not showing, not working, or missing on TikTok.
How to fix Auto Scroll not showing on TikTok
To fix Auto Scroll not showing on TikTok, you need to create a new TikTok account.
You can also try reporting a problem on the app or updating TikTok to the latest version.
Fix 1: Create a new TikTok account
- Open the TikTok app and go to your profile.
- Tap on your username at the top.
- Select “Add account” and sign up using email, Facebook, Apple, Google, etc.
- Go to your “For You” page (homepage).
- Tap and hold the screen and check if the Auto Scroll feature is there.
- Select “Auto scroll” to enable the feature.
Editor’s note: My secondary account has the Auto Scroll feature but my main account does not—this is because the feature is not available for everyone yet.
Fix 2: Report the problem
- Open the TikTok app and go to your profile.
- Tap on the menu icon and select “Settings and privacy”.
- Scroll down and select “Report a problem”.
- Scroll down and select “Submit a report”.
- Explain that you don’t have the “Auto Scroll” feature and select “Submit”.
- Wait for TikTok to respond to your report.

- Search for “TikTok”, open it, and tap on “Update”.
- Open the TikTok app and go to your “For You” page (homepage).
- Tap and hold the screen and check if the Auto Scroll feature is there.
Editor’s note: If you still don’t have the feature, you need to wait until its rolled out to you.
