Labcorp, an American healthcare company, has posted a Remote Customer Service Support Representative position to their careers page.
In this role, you will be responding to a variety of clinician and patient billing related inquiries. You will also collect patient payments through e-mail, phone calls or standard mail correspondence, set up payment plans, and identify issues and suggest potential improvements.
Among the requirements, applicants should have at least one year in a client-facing role in a work setting that is heavily customer focused (or 2+ years of work experience post college), using Google Apps, Mac OS X, and CRM applications (i.e. Salesforce), and high level Internet speed (50 mbps) connectivity.

Customer Service Representative
This individual will be on the frontlines responding to a variety of clinician and patient billing related inquiries. The individual will work cross-functionally across many departments (sales, operations, billing, and lab teams) to serve our patient and client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Be well-versed in all processes and policies to respond clearly to high volume billing phone and e-mail inquiries
- Collect patient payments through e-mail, phone calls or standard mail correspondence
- Setting up payment plans directly with patients
- Work closely with other functional areas to increase revenue
- Resolve discrepancies, when required
- Identify issues and suggest potential improvements
- Develop collection methods that consistently lead to achieving or exceeding company financial goals
- Collaborate with your team to create ways to increase cash collections while providing the best service and experience to patients.
- Participate in projects that extend beyond your day to day to stretch you to think outside the box.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ year experience working in a client-facing role in a work setting that is heavily customer focused or 2+ years of work experience post college
- High volume patient billing experience highly preferred
- Ability to work remote
- Ability to work independently and commit to a structure environment
- Experience using Google Apps, Mac OS X, and CRM applications (i.e. Salesforce)
- Bilingual a plus
Remote Work:
- Must have high level Internet speed (50 mbps) connectivity
- Dedicated work from home space
- Ability to manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity
- Must meet weekly and monthly production goals
- Effective communication skills
- Alpha-Numeric Data Entry proficiency
- 10 key experience

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $15.00 to $18.00 an hour or (State/Local minimum wage, if higher)
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
