To fix Error Code 0x9 in Black Ops 6, you can try repairing and resetting the game or running the Call of Duty Randgrid Service Setup Script.

You can also try exiting Riot Vanguard, uninstalling reWASD, or uninstalling Faceit Anti-Cheat.

Fix 1: Repair and reset the game

  1. Search for “Installed apps” using Windows Search and open it.
  2. Search for “Call of Duty” and click on the three dots.
  3. Select “Advanced options”.
  4. Scroll down and select “Repair” followed by “Reset”.
  5. Launch Black Ops 6.

Fix 2: Run the Call of Duty Randgrid Service Setup Script

  1. Download the Call of Duty Rangrid Service Setup Script here: cod_service_setup.bat (Windows 11).
  2. Right-click “cod_service_setup.bat” and select “Run as administrator”.
  3. Select “More info”, select “Run anyway”, and select “Run”.
  4. Find, copy, and paste your Call of Duty content folder location (e.g. C:\XboxGames\Call of Duty\Content) into the Command Prompt.
  5. Press Enter and wait for the script to complete.
  6. Launch Black Ops 6.

Fix 3: Exit Riot Vanguard

  1. Click on the ⌃ icon on the Windows Taskbar.
  2. Right-click “Riot Vanguard”.
  3. Select “Exit Vanguard” and select “Yes”.
  4. Launch Black Ops 6.

Fix 4: Uninstall reWASD

  1. Search for “Installed apps” using Windows Search and open it.
  2. Search for “reWASD” and click on the three dots.
  3. Select “Uninstall” twice and skip the questionnaire.
  4. Launch Black Ops 6.

Fix 5: Uninstall Faceit Anti-Cheat

  1. Search for “Installed apps” using Windows Search and open it.
  2. Search for “FACEIT Anti-Cheat” and click on the three dots.
  3. Select “Uninstall” twice.
  4. Launch Black Ops 6.
