You can also try using the Hextech Repair Tool or resettingn the game without deleting it.
Fix 1: Change LoL’s compatibility settings
- Right-click “League of Legends” and select “Open file location”.
- Select the “Riot Games” directory on the URL field.
- Open the “League of Legends” folder and open the “Game” folder.
- Right-click “League of Legends.exe” and select “Properties”.
- Select “Compatibility” and tick “Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8”.
- Tick “Disable fullscreen optimizations”, select “Apply”, and select “OK”.
Note: If “Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8” is already ticked, untick it.
Fix 2: Use the Hextech Repair Tool
- Download the Hextech Repair Tool: https://support-leagueoflegends.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/224826367-Automated-Troubleshooting-Hextech-Repair-Tool.
- Open the tool and select “Run”.
- Tick “Force repatch” and tick “Reinstall”.
- Select “Start”, wait for a while, and select “Okay”.
Note: If you get the “Install Path Not Found” error, select “Okay”, and select the “LeagueClient.exe” app.
Fix 3: Reset LoL without deleting it
- Right-click “League of Legends” and select “Open file location”.
- Select the “Riot Games” directory on the URL field.
- Rename the “League of Legends” folder to “League of Legends 1”.
- Launch League of Legends and select “Install”.
- Select “Already installed?”, select the “League of Legends 1” folder, and select “OK”.
