How to Fix “Call Failed” on Messenger

Are you getting a “Call Failed” error on Facebook Messenger?

The error can happen if you’re trying to call someone on the app.

It can also happen after you accept a call from someone who is calling you.

You can bypass this by using other apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.

However, if the other party does not have these apps, you won’t be able to call them.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to fix “Call Failed” on Facebook Messenger audio/video on iPhone or Android.

Why does Messenger keep saying call failed?

Messenger keeps saying that the call failed because of network issues, outdated software, or restricted camera/microphone permissions.

In some cases, Messenger might be down—you can check the status of it here: https://metastatus.com/.

On the website, check if there is a service disruption for “Messenger Platform” under “Developer Platform”.

If there is a service disruption, you need to wait until the issue is resolved (this can take several hours).
